Richmond was once again alight with some of the brightest minds in digital, with the 8th official Silicon Block Party, created by tech company IE Digital, taking place last week on Thursday 8th February, 2018.

The event officially hit the streets of the ‘Silicon Block’ in Richmond, Melbourne’s hub of innovation, with attendees from startups, consultancies, co-working spaces and local tech giants like MYOB, Red Energy and REA Group. Bridging the divide between the innovation community and traditional Australian enterprise is at the heart of this truly unique event - a place where startup founders and future leaders can mingle with today's CEO’s.

Guests got hands on with the technology shaping the future, including Teslas, VR and an epic projection mapping experience on the iconic Bryant & May building.

Sharing their stories to the 600+ audience were Carolyn Breeze (Head of Braintree for Australia), Jac Phillips (Head of Marketing for VISA Australia), Adam Jacobs (Co-Founder and MD of The Iconic), and, Marissa Rosenberg (Senior Research Scientist for NASA).

Hosted by IE Digital Founder Rhys Hayes, the panel discussion kicked off at 7:30pm, followed by a block party with Triple J Unearthed artists taking the stage.

This event has become known for showcasing experiences from leaders in the digital community and last week’s event was no different including: IE Digital, Red Energy, MYOB, Start Up Victoria, REA Group, Inspire 9, Pause Fest, Braintree, Visual Domain and Oliver & York.
